Instagram is a powerful social media platform, and I love posting and scrolling on the Gram just like anyone else, but as Influencers, we have so much more potential for impact if we expand our reach beyond just using Instagram as our only platform.
Here are 5 additional ways to utilize your influence:
1️⃣ Speaking – Helps you build social proof and creates an opportunity for you to share your influence with others offline vs online. As an Influencer, you are a prime candidate for keynote speeches + subject matter expert panels.
2️⃣ Podcast – Hosting your own podcast, or being a featured guest on a podcast gives you the opportunity to share content through an audio form of media to highlight your message beyond just pictures. if you haven’t already, check out my podcast, Ignite Your Influence which is available on both apple + spotify.
3️⃣ Events – Use your influence to create opportunities to connect with your following in person or virtually at a conference, masterclass or mixer off of the Instagram platform. Each year, I host Ignite Your Influence Conference so that I can intentionally connect with my tribe in person beyond Instagram.
4️⃣ Business – Transition from Influencer to Founder by kickstarting a business. Look at how @jackieaina used her influence to start @forvrmood. She already had a following, now she tapped in and made them her customers.
5️⃣ Membership – As a seasoned Influencer, I love to mentor and teach new Influencers, so I use my Influence to train and coach creators through a membership community called Club Ignite, which you can check out at Clubignite.co. If you are constantly getting asked by people to do consultations and coaching, a membership could allow you to have a more streamlined way to serve your tribe.
