This year I made 10K from one brand deal!
Here’s the deal…I got paid over $10,000, to be myself and promote a product and brand that I love. I remember just like it was yesterday, when I first started blogging, I was wishing and hoping that a brand would notice me and pay me. But if I’m honest, I was happy to just receive free gifted product from a brand. Below is a pic from one of my earlier brand deals with Banana Republic. I was sooooooo excited!
Whew….thank God for growth lol
Then I started taking my personal brand seriously, and I began to implement influencer marketing strategies which landed me higher paying brand deals. Below is a 4 figure brand partnership with Athlete’s Foot.
I couldn’t believe I was getting paid 4 figures to just be myself, create content, and promote products that I would’ve purchased on my own. Over the years, I eventually began to monetize more, and that low 4 figures, then eventually grew to 5 figures like in this photo below where I partnered with Head & Shoulders. When I started to monetize as an Influencer consistently, I started to share insight and #influencernuggets with my community because this situation was just too good to keep to myself.
My strategy to earn 4-5 figure brand deals consistently was:
- I started created high quality organic content to get brands attention. I stopped posting just here and there, and I began posting multiple times a week, consistently.
- I made a list and started pitching all of the brands that I wanted to work with and told them why they needed to work with me. I put myself on their radar and was shooting my shot, versus waiting for them to magically find me.
- I started showing up on multiple platforms which made me attractive to brands because I could offer them a blog, a podcast, an Instagram post or story, a Pin etc…I gave them options.
- I started throwing events, which gave brands the option to work with me on social media, or work with me by sponsoring an event experience.
- I created a media kit that highlighted my reach, follower count, and audience demographics. This data was very attractive to brands.
- I kept my contact information updated on my blog and social channels so that brand reps and pr agencies could easily get in contact with me for partnerships.
- I mastered content creation beyond just images. I got comfortable creating videos, I got comfortable moderating clubhouse rooms, I got comfortable hosting podcasts. These diverse skills made me very attractive to the best brands.
- I stayed in the know on the latest in Influencer marketing by keeping up with industry trends.
