Today, I’m sharing a product review of Dermae Purifying skincare collection. Dermae is a skincare line that prides itself in being 100% vegan, cruelty-free, paraben-free, sulfate-free, mineral oil-free, lanolin-free, gluten free, and GMO-free. Lately, when I shop for food items, I’ve been checking all of the food labels paying close attention to callouts such as “Vegan” “Non GMO” etc. I’ve been very diligent with this practice for food items, but I never considered checking my skincare labels to see if the ingredients were good for me and good for my skin. Dermae has taught me to be more aware of what ingredients I’m placing on my skin, just like I’m aware of what ingredients I’m putting in my body. Dermae gifted me their Purifying collection which is a fragrance-free, detoxifying collection that sweeps away impurities, sweat and excess oils for an invigorating glow. Activated charcoal eliminates toxins while mineral-rich marine algae extracts help to protect skin against pollution. Reviving aloe leaf extracts provide healthy, nutrient-rich hydration for a pure and refreshed appearance. I tested their cleanser, scrub and moisturizer, and I’m going to share my honest review of each product.
- Purifying Gel Cleanser: This gel facewash is best for normal to oily skin types. It was perfect for my oily skin leaving my face feeling clean but not stripped of all of its natural oils. Overall, I felt that this cleanser was gentle yet effective. The cleanser did not irritate my skin and left my face feeling clean and refreshed.
- Purifying Daily Detox Scrub: This was my favorite product from the collection! This scrub was gentle yet effective and left a slight cooling sensation that left my skin so refreshed. The scrubbing beads were not too coarse and did not irritate my skin, but left my skin feeling exfoliated and smooth.
- Purifying Oil Free Moisturizer: This moisturizer is great if you have oily skin. If you have a dry or normal skin type, this may not be the best moisturizer for you because it does not offer intense hydration, just lightly moisturizes. If you are oily, you will love it, because it balances your skin preventing you from feeling shiny and oily.
