How it Started vs. How it’s Going is the new Before & After, so of course I hopped on this trend so that I can show you some updates that I made to my home workspace. Before the pandemic, I rarely utilized my desk at home, but now that I’m primarily working from home, I’m utilizing this space more than ever before, so I wanted to spruce it up and make it a little more ME!
BEFORE
So my old workspace was not bad, but it just needed a little more pizazz. For me, it was just lacking something, and since the space is not big, I had to get creative and determine the best way to utilize the space better, so my solution was floating shelves! Since my desk was grey, I went with grey marble floating shelves, and I added some cool accessories to bring the vibes to life.
AFTER
I added in two marble, floating shelves and added a few cute accessories that I found on Etsy & Amazon. I wanted to add in a content creator element to my decor, so I found this cute silver metallic camera, and then, to set it all off, I framed some line art that featured my love for natural hair and beauty. I also framed a quote that my late godmother would say all the time, “Life’s about choices”. I wanted something personal and nostalgic, and I found a vendor on Etsy that printed custom quotes. I also got the best smelling candle from FORVR Mood to keep the vibes going. The space now feels like me and like my happy place.
