Off The Shoulders

Hey Y’all, Happy Wednesday!

Let’s talk about this Summers most popular trend! The off-the-shoulder trend has become a Summer staple. The off-the-shoulder style allows you to show off your shoulders and neckline in a subtle, yet sexy way. I personally love how it shows off my collarbones.  This style truly flatters all body types. Just remember to wear a supportive, strapless bra ;). Off-the shoulder styles are easy to pull off because you can throw on a pair of sunglasses, top it off with the perfect accessory details, and your end result will be an effortless, boho chic look. 

This look can be dressed up or down, and I personally think it’s perfect for a date night. Normally when I wear a fitted dress, I usually throw on a pair of high heels because I’m short.  When it’s really hot outside, I’m just not always in the mood for high heels. I try to keep it cute while making comfort a priority, which is why I wore flat sandals with this dress.  During summer months, I also try to keep my hairstyles low maintenance. I usually wear curly styles, weaves or braids because straight hair requires so much straightening after I sweat out my hair in the 95 degree North Carolina heat.

I purchased this dress last month when I traveled to the Fashion District in LA. If you are in LA, you definitely want to shop where the locals get deals in the Santee Alley. My mom took me to the fashion district when I was a child, and I’ve been hooked every since. LA is what inspired my love for fashion and sparked me to start Bornmajestic. I am a country girl from North Carolina, and LA fashion exposed me to a whole new Fashion world. I haven’t been the same since, and my style hasn’t been the same since.
